Hello! My name is Hyeji [hje.dʒi] 👋
A UX/Product Designer with a background in sociology and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). I’m passionate about crafting inclusive, accessible, and data-informed experiences that create meaningful impact.
How I got here
Originally from Seoul, South Korea, I came to the U.S. to study sociology at UCLA, where I developed a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives. That curiosity led me to discover UX design—first through a bootcamp, then through hands-on internships, and eventually through a Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Michigan.
What I design for
I’ve since designed for industries like fintech and healthcare, where I focus on simplifying complex systems and improving digital experiences at scale. From enhancing international money transfers at SENTBE to helping over a million health insurance members navigate their plans with greater ease, I approach every project with empathy, systems thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.
During my spare time
I enjoy exploring new tech, capturing everyday moments, and going on long walks or runs to recharge. I'm always open to meaningful conversations and new opportunities—feel free to say hi! LinkedIn↗
