Hello! My name is Hyeji [HEH-jee] 👋
I’m a UX/Product Designer with 3+ years of experience turning complex systems into intuitive, human-centered products. With a background in Sociology and HCI, I design inclusive, accessible, and data-informed experiences across startups and enterprise platforms.
How I got here
Originally from Seoul, South Korea, I came to the states to study Sociology at UCLA, where I developed a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives. A digital marketing internship sparked my interest in design, leading me to a UX bootcamp and my first role at a fintech startup. Later, while pursuing my Master’s in Human Computer Interaction at the University of Michigan, I gained hands-on experience through multiple internships across startups, labs, and enterprise platforms, which shaped the foundation of my career as a UX/Product Designer.
What I design for
I’ve worked on products that simplify complex systems and improve digital experiences at scale. From enhancing international money transfers at SENTBE to helping over a million health plan members navigate with greater ease, I approach every project with empathy, systems thinking, and collaboration. I’m excited to bring these perspectives to new challenges and create intuitive, accessible experiences for diverse users.
During my spare time
I enjoy exploring new tech, capturing everyday moments, and going on long walks or runs to recharge. I'm always open to meaningful conversations and new opportunities, so feel free to say hello! LinkedIn↗
